→ GOING ON A HIATUS
When going on a hiatus, you should always make sure that you message your admins. If there’s an OOC blog, sometimes it’s a good thing to post it there for your fellow roleplayers to know, but it’s not guaranteed that the admins will actually see it. You should message them at least 2 days before you plan on going on a hiatus. Give them a reason why, and the estimated length that you should be gone for. If you’re ever feeling really shitty and it’s making you lose any motivation to go onto your roleplays, tell your admins that you’re having a hard time and you’re going to be on a semi-hiatus. It’s just incase something happens where you don’t even want to get online anymore, and your role won’t get re-opened due to your admins knowing you’re probably offline because you’re dealing with RL stuff. And this doesn’t just go for groups, but it also goes for 1x1s. It’s always good to keep your partner(s) in the know.
If you don’t know what the word means, please don’t use it. Sometimes, simple words just work better, and there is no shame in it. Don’t use a twenty three letter word to make yourself seem smart if you can’t pronounce two-thirds of it. Just saying.
Just to clear things up, tags do not start working after 24 hours on a new account! They start working when tumblr decides that you’re human. It’s stupid, I know. To convince them that you aren’t a virus (and all that other shit) you have to do human-ish things, such as follow other blogs, like stuff, customize your theme, etc.
Disclaimer: I learnt all of this information from this guide and I would highly recommend checking it and everything else on their blog out.
Don’t say that you can’t play a male character because you’re a female. Do some research on how men act. Jot down notes on the different mannerisms and incorporate them into your writing. Step outside your comfort zone. Chances are that you’ll have more fun playing a male than you ever expected to.
Remember: If males could play female roles in Shakespeare’s days, being a female shouldn’t stop you from playing a male.
Opportunities abound for describing lachrymal lamentations. Here are twenty synonyms for cry, plus some related expressions.

Always say thank you. Whether you’re asking a RPH to give you some plot feedback, make a couple of banners or do the whole shebang, it’s always appreciated if you drop a thanks in their askbox. If they get nothing back it might feel like their work went unrewarded, and frankly it would leave a bad taste in my mouth if an admin didn’t thank me for helping them out.
